Seaside Escapade

Just wrapped up binding the Seaside Escapade quilt! I just love this material from Michael Miller - Going Coastal - those bottle caps are so adorable! The Kona Tangerine just gives it such a POP!! It was a perfect afternoon for a little photoshoot!

New Quilt Ladders

I'm very fortunate to have 2 good friends that remembered that I wanted some old ladders to use to hang quilts on around the house! Also, one of those friends is very handy with a sander and paint brush and was able to refinish these awesome ladders for me! Now, all my extra quilts aren't being hidden away in a box, they are out where I can see them! Hooray!

Dog Projects

What to do with a boxful of winning dog show ribbons? Get creative and make stuff!! A friend saw on a website that people were making ribbon pillows and wreaths, so we thought we'd try it out too! I think these ribbon projects turned out AWESOME!

I was also asked to make several show towels for my English Springer dog friends. I can't wait to see these on the dogs at the shows! Now, I just have to make my own dog's towels!

Winter Projects

Over my holiday break I learned how to make fabric ornaments. I made a few traditional looking ones then made myself a set of 6 that would go with my tree (which is non-traditional looking). Over 200 stick pins go into each ornament! I think these are so unique and I can't wait to make more for next Christmas!

I also made this adorable applique snowman wall hanging. I took a long time to make, but I love all the detailing it called for. It really gives it some character!

Here is the first in many posts to get caught up from the last few months!

My new Juki!!

I absolutely LOVE my new sewing machine. It's a Juki f600 and I highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market. Perfect stitches everytime, lots of fun stitches to play with, and a very fast and easy bobbin wind and load system! It's great and I'm so glad I purchase it. It has made sewing soooo much easier!

Here are the latest quilts:

Purple Majesty
Based on the Swoon pattern from Thimble Bloosoms.
I added flying geese and diamonds to jazz up the sashings.
I also had 4 extra blocks left over that I'm making into wall hanging/table toppers.
